Scooters: Buying guide

Riding the scooter is probably the easiest way to move around a big city quickly and effectively. With less petrol used and the ability to swiftly slice through any traffic jam, buying a scooter would be a great investment. However, with the abundance of the manufacturer on the market, how do you buy a great scooter?

Features

First thing that you need to look before buying any scooter, is obviously the specification. The three most favoured engines available in the scooter this day are 50 cc, 150 cc, and also the 250 cc. To look at this specification in a simpler way, you should buy the scooter depending on the distance you are going to travel with this scooter.

Speed

For your information, with 50 cc lightweight mobility scooters, the maximum speed that you will get is around 35 to 40 miles per hour. For the 150 cc, the maximum speed you will get is around 50 to 60 miles per hour. For the 250 cc scooter, you will get a maximum speed of more than 80 miles per hour.

Number of people

Pay attention to the number of person the scooter could carry based on your engine’s size and number of person riding. If you are planning to use the scooter to cruise around city with your loved one, choose the one with bigger engine.

Tank size

You also need to check the mileage and the scooter petrol’s tank size. Scooter consumes less petrol, but choosing with the best mileage means you could save more.

Design

The next thing to look for when buying a scooter is the design. You could choose either the classic Italian style or a more modern look.

I recommend you to choose a design suitable with your current city so that you are sure to catch the eyes of many people.

The design also will reflect the scooter’s price so be sure to look.

A scooter is more suitable for a city ride and short distance cruise, If you are planning for a visit to the countryside, it is better to choose a better motorcycle. With many manufacturers available out there, make sure to go check around first before buying any scooter in order to get the best deals.
