Krugman: It's That 30s Show. We Need Another (Bigger) Stimulus.

Krugman was right again. Instead of taking a strong leadership position and insisting on a larger package, Obama played nice with the so-called "moderates" of both parties (i.e. morons who would sell their own mothers to feed their swollen egos). And here we sit, in a stagnating economy that sinks even deeper in recession as jobs are flushed down the drain. I'm reminded of one of my favorite business...

Loudon Wainwright III Sings 'The Krugman Blues'

Somehow New York Times columnist Paul Krugman seems a terrible subject for a song. Yet, Loudon Wainwright III, who admits to being a Times fan, performed "The Krugman Blues" in New York's Madison Square Park a few weeks ago: I read the New York Times, that's where I get the news. Paul Krugman's on the Op Ed page, that's where I get the blues. In Wainwright's view, given the current state of the economy,...

The Krugman Blues

A little night music: Loudon Wainwright III performs 'The Krugman Blues' at Madison Square Park in NYC (June 17, 2009) Note: The last music video I posted featuring an economist was Merle Hazard's discussion with John Taylor (very funny).

Is it Bill Anderson or is it Memorex?

Actually it’s neither. It’s Loudon Wainwright III, singer of Depression songs, singing his new tune, “The Krugman Blues.” I read the New York Times, that’s where I get the news. Paul Krugman’s on the Op Ed page, that’s where I get the blues. Bill, I know, could have written some killer lyrics for this song.

They're Singing About Economist Paul Krugman

For all those folks who have a slight case of the Mondays after the holiday weekend, Karen from Anonymous is a Woman has a video that is entertaining. It's a video of Loudon Wainwright singing about how he gets the "Krugman Blues," a clear play on the nobel-prize winning Paul Krugman who has a reputation of telling it like it is during his columns for the New York Times, various books, and his appearances...

That's Nobel Prize-winning economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, and he's giving Loudon Wainwright III the blues... (H/T: Calculated Risk. )
