Yesterday lunchtime Guido Fawkes posted about Adrian Hicks, the Liberal Democrat councillor who saw an alien in Winchester High Street. I pointed you to a video of Cllr Hicks discussing this encounter on 17 October and first wrote about it as long ago as 3 June . Liberal England: First with the stories that matter
Peter Kilfoyle MP made a bit of a splash in the local paper last week: As reported he commissioned a study that called for a directly elected mayor with tax and spend power. Kilfoyle said his aim was to “put the cat among the pigeons” and was attacking “.. a cosy local cabal”. The study was [...]
Notice that the Mail on Sunday and The Times followed up on the broken first on Guy News story of the lewd Labour MP and Nadine Dorries. Guidogram subscribers knew first and got the “behind the blog” back story of last week. Click here to join thousands of subscribers to the Guidogram. Tagged: GuyNews.TV [...]
Yesterday started with the usual invasion of Starlings squabbling over anything which looks remotely like food. There are times when you can hardly see the fat ball feeders or the floor of the bird table. The two inch mesh round the bird table is no barrier for a determined Starling. Later in the day I could hear some alarm calls. There were two Great Tits setting up a din as they took it in turns....
I have a lot of trouble understanding why Guido Fawkes (in whose name fireworks fill the skies tonight) believed that blowing up the royal family and all it's politicians would help the Catholic cause. On the other hand I can understand how fear and betrayal led him to entertain a madness in which literally cutting off the head(s) of an anti-Catholic England could provide space for a new,
The Guy News broadcast is only available to Guidogram subscribers this weekend. We report on the Guys who went to parliament this November fifth. Guido will also tell you about his week from behind the blog. Gossip? Well if you want to know the name of that Labour MP who revolted Nadine Dorries with his [...]
An interesting report on Think Progress flags up the growing discord between populist right-wing commentator Rush Limbaugh and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, in what could prove an important schism within the US right. This time the occasion is a blame game is over the Democratic victory in a safe Republican congressional district , after a heated schism in which prominent movement conservatives...
While Nadine Dorries has settled her claim for libel against Damian McBride (with Damian having to pay legal costs including for Guido’s time spent serving him with the papers) she has not yet settled her claims against HM Government. She has until April to commence proceedings, just in time for the whole Smeargate saga to be [...]
In a story yesterday Guido reported that Guido has been told that three weeks ago Margaret Thatcher wrote a personal plea to her great admirer Václav Klaus, to stand firm, in the hope of strengthening his resolve. It was to be delivered by William Hague. Lady Thatcher’s office say she did not. Apologies to Margaret Thatcher [...]
I could not make OH's stroll last year, but I am glad I made the effort this year, just to make an active point that some of us are not very pleased with the current set up. This is about the first 'manifestation' that I have been on since about 1973. It was good to catch up with the Devil, Anna Raccoon, Dick Puddlecote and OH, and others that had travelled the length & breadth of the country....
After yesterday's disappointment with the PCC ruling, today is another day, and a rather brighter one. I've just been flicking through the December issue of GQ Magazine and have been reading their list of the 100 Most Influential Men in Britain. It's an intriguing list, not least because for some reason best known to themselves they have included me at number 66 - one place above Ian Hislop, two above...
Could journalists not agree a moratorium on asking Gordon to pledge support for our sporting teams? Last night, as prophesied, Everton fans knew they were doomed to lose the moment the Prime Mentalist wished them well. Gordon added “I want to see all British teams do well when they are playing against European opposition”. [...]
