BNP's shock victory in council election sparks fears of surge in votes across Britain

The British National Party has made a shock gain in a council by-election. BNP candidate David Owens polled 279 votes to win the Fenside seat, Boston Borough Council, Lincolnshire, with a 138 majority over the ruling Boston Bypass Independent candidate Carl Smith.
