I'm deeply in the debt of Scottish Tory Boy for alerting me to this gem from Wednesday's super soaraway Scottish Sun. Features writer Matt Bendoris has gone to Holyrood to meet the new leader of Scottish Labour, but little does Iain Gray realise that he's about to be on the end of a hatchet job... LABOUR chief Iain Gray is halfway through a very long and boring tale when I lose the will to live. We...

I almost feel sorry for Iain Gray, new Scottish Labour leader. He got a bit of a pasting from Matt Bendoris in today's Sun His crime? Basically being boring. The Gray by name and Gray by nature thing was an easy an analogy to come up with and Iain does seem to think that he has to live up to it. The problem is that for all his talk of re-connecting with the people, he just doesn't have the interpersonal...

Hi, good to be back again. A salutary day for Iain Gray, I think. In FMQ s yesterday, he tried to give Salmond a bollocking for not intervening to save jobs at HBOS and British Energy. Despite the fact that both he and the FM were at a summit meeting on HBOS last week, and that Salmond has met with senior Lloyds representatives since then, as Iain well knows. Having said that, Gray made a fair fist...

Just what was new Nu-Labour Scottish MSPs leader Iain Gray implying when he said that a Scottish Local Income Tax would affect Scottish jobs with HBOS ? Surely the man who is leader of only 45 other people isn't implying that a bank should be setting policy in Scotland? Last time I checked the board of Lloyds-TSB were not members of the Scottish Parliament. Also last time I checked Sarah Gordon Brown...

While First Minister Alex Salmond sought to keep the unity going, and new Labour leader Iain Gray felt bound by the consensus, it was obvious that several other party colleagues had been given a licence to kill.
