More Facts: Ethnic minority women make up 4.6% of the population (2.3 million) To reflect the population (4.6%), we would expect to see at least 33 ethnic minority women MPs. There are only 2 - Diane Abbott MP and Dawn Butler MP Number of ethnic minority women in the Cabinet - None From almost 20,000 local councillors in England, only 168 (0.84%) are ethnic minority women Out of 1,130 directors of...

Iain Dale is reporting how Dawn Butler, the over-promoted Labour MP for Brent South, is endorsing Barak Obama. She is now a government whip. There has been a long-standing traditional that our government of the day remains neutral in foreign elections. David Lammy, Hunter's own MP, has also shamelessly endorsed Obama. Would they be doing so if Obama was white? Hunter believes that the best man - or...

Dawn Butler, the MP for Brent South, has become the first ever elected, female, Black minister in the UK. Prime Minister Gordon Brown appointed her as an Assistant Government Whip in the House of Commons yesterday, replacing Siobhain McDonagh MP who was sacked by Brown after publicly calling for a leadership contest. Butler, pictured here in July with [...]

Because he has appointed Dawn Butler as Siobhain McDonagh's replacement. Siobhain has never been one of Labour's natural showboats - but she has worked her patch for two decades and is fundamentally loyal. Dawn Butler spent 2006 and 2007 telling everybody the opposition was finished because Tony Blair was going to resign soon. Go figure.

Whenever they're on the radio Members of Parliament are unable to resist the temptation to say absurdly flattering things about their constituencies. I've just heard Simon Mayo introducing the MPs guesting on his programme this afternoon. He sets up Dawn Butler as the member for Brent South and asks her to explain something about it for the benefit of people who might not know it. It's the most diverse...

It is now official: Download the evidence of how bad the last year has been for us under the one eyed leaders not so wise rule. Also I will also call Dawn Butler a cunt as well, who is quoted in The Independent as saying: "Whatever their politics, most people in this country know that Gordon Brown is a decent man with integrity trying to do the best for Britain in difficult times. They will be disgusted...

Amongst various meetings, briefings etc yesterday I popped into the All Party Parliamentary Group ( APPG ) on Guns, Gangs and Knife Crime. Massive meeting with lots and lots of young people - excellent! The APPG is chaired by Dawn Butler - a Labour MP. I could only stay for half and hour - and Vernon Coker (the Labour Minister) certainly made a decent speech. Various members of the audience contributed...

Well that was quite an evening. I'm on my way back to Kent listening to an incoherant Labour MP called Dawn Butler on 5 Live. She can hardly string two words together. I'll be grabbing a few hours sleep, then reflecting on tonight's events before live blogging the Friday results. Thanks to all of you who have joined me over the last 24 hours. Your emails and texts really contributed and I think many...

They're letting anybody in nowadays. That's a Conservative Member of Parliament (David Heathcote-Amory) to Dawn Butler, one of two black women MPs (as reported by the Observer). Aside from the fact that being democratically elected is hardly being "let in",...

She is having an Ali G moment and has come over all and I shall quote the character of Mr Cohen "Is it cos' I is black?" The House of Commons, held up as a beacon of democracy, has a 'dirty little secret', according to black MPs - its racism. Dawn Butler, only the third black woman ever to have become an MP, said she faced such frequent racism from politicians of all parties that she had to 'pick her...
