Full coverage of UK Politics On reading this morning's Daily Politico feature on the Total Politics website, it seemed to me that Tory MP Nadine Dorries was joining the legions of the Be...

Last week I reported on Nadine Dorries' latest attempt to restrict access to abortion: she has tabled another amendment on reducing the time limit to twenty weeks onto the HFE Bill currently working its way through Parliament. Unity picked it...

Just one hit above as Nadine Dorries crashes around Covent Garden (BBC). But read on and you'll find she is more of a big hitter than that. And whether you visit Nadine Dorries MP's blog of wanton barminess here or otherwise here (where "here" and "here" are at one and the some place) you will find that her parliamentary blogcullis is gone. In the first case through a marginal re-design, in the second...

Well, it looks like Phil Hendren isn't the only retro-moderating right-wing blogger on the loose today; Nadine Dorries is busily rearranging her website to avoid the consequences of a complaint she was laughing off just a few short days ago . Too bad for her that I have copies saved. This is something you eventually get into a habit of doing when you're obsessive when you're dealing with a whole tribe...

We always knew that the defeat of Nadine Dorries' attempts to shrink women's access to later term abortions was not the end of the fight. Many activists have been tallying up and shaking their heads at the small shift in...

Do you remember the complaint that Sunny lodged with the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner regarding Nadine Dorries' website? Well, it seems she's trying her best to wriggle out of it with a few cosmetic changes to her website and some badly executed DNS trickery... and getting busted, naturally.

On the same day that its discovered that Nadine Dorries is to make another attempt to reduce the upper time limit for abortion to 20 weeks, an 11 year old Romanian girl, who fell pregnant after being raped by her uncle, waits to hear whether her government will allow her to come to the UK to have an abortion. That this girl has a choice at all is something Dorries is trying to take away.

Here we go again : Mrs Nadine Dorries To move the following Clause:— ‘In section 1(1)(a) of the Abortion Act 1967 (c.87) (medical termination of pregnancy), for “twenty-fourth week” substitute “twentieth week”’. Hat-tip to the f-word - still monstrously busy so unable to read up Parliamentary procedure this evening, but my first response is to think that both Dorries' and Evan Harris' amendments will...

A round up of reactionaries, a carnival of them perhaps ! First off it seems Nadine Dorries is putting up another amendment even though all the ones cutting the rights of women were defeated in the Commons. The F Word has the story : A colleague has just informed me that Nadine Dorries MP has again used the HFE Bill to table another amendment to the Abortion Act to restrict access by lowering the...

Nadine Dorries MP has an excellent post on blogging and journalists’ fears of blogging threatening their hegemony. I would heartily concur with what she says. For example, Take care, your first blog may highlight to newspaper editors everywhere how badly journalists - who are paid huge sums of money with vast liquid expense accounts - actually [...]

From the Pandora column: Dorries in blogosphere battle Having recently faced defeat over her controversial abortion bill, Nadine Dorries is embroiled in another row – over her website. The Tory member’s blog – which, of course, Pandora reads regularly – has attracted criticism for its personal attacks on opponents. One recent post included a picture of comely housing [...]

At the risk of sounding petty, she can't count , either. That said, Nadine Dorries is making encouraging noises about the need for improved sex education: given her religious bedfellows, though, the devil will be in the details, particularly when she's on record as opposing access to the morning-after pill in schools, and says things like this: Our children have never had so much sex education; but...
