Readers of the Croydon Advertiser may notice that my post from 15th June predates a story labeled "EXCLUSIVE" about Andrew Pelling voting in Parliament . I discovered the story when I was preparing to write a letter about not having representation for the 42 day vote. The letter idea went out the window when, after a quick web search, I found that my MP had actually voted, and done it the way I would...

The situation in Croydon is a mess. Constituents in Central Croydon have been without representation in Parliament for nine months, and could be for a further two years. As Peter Howard put it in a letter to the Croydon Guardian , "The two wannabe MPs say they will look into matters for us, but they have no voice in Parliament." However, alongside one Labour MP fighting cancer and another wheeled in...

The Tory Victory in Crewe & Nantwich is now being followed by reports that Boris Johnson is set to resign soon . Will the Tories also be tempted to call a byelection in Croydon Central whilst the tide is flowing their way? Tags Andrew Pelling

Quentin Davies - defected Andrew Pelling - whip withdrawn over allegations of wife-beating Derek Conway - whip withdrawn over expenses scandal Bob Spink - whip withdrawn before he could resign. Now a member of UKIP. My prediction at the start of the year that Cameron would have a bad year has remained unfulfilled, but this has mainly because [...]

Anyone in Croydon Central who tries to contact their MP, Andrew Pelling, will find that their communication is intercepted by the office of Croydon South MP, Richard Ottaway. The reply I received recently about public photography was a waste of paper, and redirected me to Gavin Barwell who isn't even a member of parliament. The Tory party is making a lot of noise about helping fill the gap left by...

I was keeping quiet about the fate of our MP Andrew Pelling, on the grounds that others may think that commentary on his situation may be in bad taste, but his local party have broken my silence. How? By inviting me, personally, to join the Conservative Party! Clearly Ward Chairman, Colin Gamage who signed the letter, has no idea that I am a member of the Green Party. I may have been on speaking terms...

After weeks of speculation, Andrew Pelling MP for Croydon Central has decided to retire at the next election. After all the controversies of recent months he's had enough and after one term in Parliament he'll be retiring. The constituency of Croydon Central is close to Mitcham and Morden and just over week ago a team of us went over to help the Labour candidate Gerry Ryan. We received a very positive...

Back in January I posted about how the DVLA was selling data to third party providers. This was revealed in a response by the TRansport minister, Stephen Ladyman to a written question from Andrew Pelling. Pelling's question asked for detailed number of how often the DVLA charged thrid parties for the data, and Stephen Ladyman said, "The DVLA does not collate the number of such transactions."
