November 4, 2009 Logan Douglas, 16 weeks old, is in an Edinburgh, Scotland hospital, in "critical but stable condition" today – the first Scottish victim of infant botulism since 1983 (as far back as can be traced in the country's electronic records). Six weeks ago, according to BBC , Logan was admitted to Edinburgh's Royal Hospital for Sick Children with symptoms of infant botulism....

a new opinion on www.dooyoo.co.uk about Logan Botanic Garden (Dumfries & Galloway) written by GillMN I am not a great gardener. It would be fair to say that I have 'black fingers' as opposed to the 'green fingers' all the rest of my family possess. So one rainy day, many moons ago whilst on holiday in Galloway, South West Scotland, I was less than ...

THE NAUGHTY LADY FROM SHADY LANE (Free subscription) | 18/09/2009
It occurred to me that while I'm waffling on about revisions to RAMPANT , I ought to post the cover copy. Here it is! Possession is only half the fun… The moment she arrives at her rented vacation cottage nestled on the east coast of Scotland, Zoë Daniels feels it— an arousal so powerful she’s compelled to surrender to the unusually forceful carnal desires…with nearly...

Over the last few years Stuart MacBride has become one of the authors whose output is anxiously awaited and enthusiastically read, having moved from the pool of writers who I'll happily pick up in the library or as an airport paperback to one whose hardbacks grace the shelves soon after release. As such it was a particular pleasure when Harper Collins Voyager saw fit to send me a copy of “Halfhead”...

X-Men: Forever #4 - Review Writer: Chris Claremont Artist: Tom Grummett Hex’s score – 3.5 out of 5 This comic makes me feel dirty because I can’t help but like it. As far as superhero comic books go, this is pretty much one of the most ridiculous going, but it is fun nonetheless. It’s kind of like watching a crappy action movie, the storyline and acting aren’t the best...

If you're forced to go over Utah's schedule and assign each game a percentage based on the probability, what do you think you'd come up with? It's actually an interesting topic because not every game is on equal footing. Some games are about as close as you can get to a victory, while others might be on the opposite end of that spectrum. But what about Utah's 2009 schedule? I do not believe there is...

Dr. Melissa Clouthier wrote about it last night: " College Grad Can't Find Job, Wants $$$ Back ." The women, Trina Thompson, is suing Monroe College to get her tuition back, $ a beefy! Well, it turns out my young friend Suzanna Logan's got something to say about it, " Entitled to Succeed? Two letters: BS ": Newsflash, Ms. Thompson, it's not anyone else's responsibility to ensure...

The readers' editor on ... squeezing the whole show into a few lines Ihad intended to write about the inaugural appearance of the C‑word on the Guardian's front page a couple of Saturdays ago, but the page one swearword will have to wait while we attend to an article on so-called "offensive comedy" , which caused offence to two of the comedians mentioned. Around 150 Richard Herring...

Matthew Collings is fascinating. What I admire about him isn’t just his honesty, but the fact that it’s not self-aggrandizing in his presentation. What I mean is, take William Logan, for instance. William Logan isn’t afraid of being negative (hardly!). It’s not about negativity. The problem with William Logan is that he tries so hard to be clever with what he’s saying,...
