Sunday saw a large crowd of republicans from South Armagh, North Louth, Monaghan and further afield gather in Cullyhanna to commemorate Oglach Michael Mc Verry, OC 1st Battalion South Armagh Brigade Oglaigh na hEireann. POLICE IN Northern Ireland yesterday made a further arrest in the inquiry into the murder of Paul Quinn in Co Monaghan last year. Mr Quinn (21), from Cullyhanna, south Armagh, was beaten to death by a masked gang after he was lured to empty farm buildings across the Border in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, on October 20th.

The chairman of the Quinn family support group in Cullyhanna, south Armagh, last night accused local Sinn Féin MP Conor Murphy of trying to create a "smokescreen" to divert attention from the IRA's alleged involvement in Paul Quinn's murder.
