It has flooded at this spot 3 times in the past month that I know of. What am I saying? A little bit of rain and the A25 on Tandridge Hill floods again (and it’s not caused by autumn leaves blocking the stormwater drains). I can’t work out why Surrey County Council don’t get their act together and fix this years old problem.

Yesterday and today these white elephant “information signs” sprung into life around the Surrey District of Tandridge. Since being installed a few years ago (presumably at considerable expense to local taxpayers) they have been used twice. The first was to advise that the A217 in Burg Heath was closed for days due to a burst water main. This time it advises motorists that the A22 at Blindly Heath is...

A quick update on results in Surrey and in our neighbouring Boroughs, reported by the BBC website HERE. In summary, Conservatives retained control in Mole Valley, Runnymede, Tandridge and Woking, and won Elmbridge, which was previously a hung council, for the first time since 1990.
