Aircraft passenger jumped before crash

A passenger jumped out of a Tiger Moth just before it made an emergency landing, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch reported. The engine had failed on a flight from Essex last September and the pilot was heading at 40mph towards a farm near Redhill aerodrome, Surrey, when his passenger unfastened his safety belt, stepped on to the right wing and jumped.
