The 50,000th Siemens Clinitek Status urine analyser has just been installed in the Children's Ward and Teenage Unit at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. Ward sisters Gail Ashworth and Gillian Rooney and members of the hospital's Point of Care team, were accompanied by some of their patients to receive the analyser from Kate Cox Operational Manager at Frimley Park.

An email from the Surrey Heath Council communications team alerted members to the raising of this flag in the Borough to coincide with the Olympic flag handover to London. Last Saturday the Lightwater Village Fete, organised by All Saint's Church, and the Surrey Heath Show at Frimley Lodge Park were held in lovely early Spring weather. Both were very well attended. A BEAMING Countess of Wessex left hospital with her newborn son and waved to well-wishers yesterday. Sophie left Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey with husband the Earl of Wessex, who held their new arrival wrapped in a white blanket.

Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, has given birth to a "cute and cuddly" baby boy. The countess - the wife of Britain's Prince Edward - had a Caesarean section to deliver the 6lb 2oz baby yesterday in a private suite of Surrey's Frimley Park Hospital.

Surrey Heath Borough Council have, this week, begun a programme of land drainage works on land owned by the Borough Council, which will include Lightwater Country Park, Watchetts Lake, Brentmoor Heath and on land in Frimley, Frimley Green and Mytchett.
