The Seven Sisters are a series of chalk cliffs by the English Channel. They form part of the South Downs in East Sussex between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne in southern England. They are the remnants of dry valleys in the chalk South Downs gradually being eroded by the sea. Amazing wievs worth to see

On Saturday I spent a pleasant afternoon at the South Downs Beer Festival organised by the local CAMRA branch down in Lewes, East Sussex. This was my first time at this festival and I have to say, compared to many of the local festivals on the London circuit, the event was extremely well run. Cuckmere Haven in East Sussex is the quintessential English beauty spot. In the bed of the valley a river meanders lazily down to the sea. Cows graze in lush green pastures. The smooth flanks of the South Downs rise on either side until those to the east terminate abruptly in the sheer chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters with their panoramic views of the English Channel.
