DAVID Smith went within a shot of his second tournament victory in seven days when he finished runner-up in The Rock, at Northumberland club Matfen Hall.But the 34-year-old Swinton Park assistant, who won the M.E.N. Manchester Open last week, still picked up the £5,000 first prize because the winner was local amateur Chris Paisley.
