I’ve read recently that the UK butterfly population is in decline due to the recent wet Summers interfering with their breeding season. However we seem to be bucking this trend in our garden in Berwick upon Tweed in north east England, where we have seem more butterflies than ever this Summer. We regularly been spotting 4 [...]
Friday was the start of one of the busiest periods of my career and I was lucky enough to shoot Nina and Stephens wedding at Longhirst Hall in Morpeth, Northumberland. Here's just a teeny selection of my favourites from the day. The beautiful bride in her amazing wedding dress. The adorable couple outside the fairytale venue of Lindhirst Hall. A candid moment capturing Nina and her gorgeous daughter....

With over 2,700 acres of water one could assume that locating the wild brown trout and stocked rainbow trout in this awesome fishery is a challenge. This is not [...]

Today, I wrote a Flood Guide for the people of Northumberland (a sort of 'souvenir' publication with hints and tips on what to do next time the River Wansbeck breaks its banks). I find myself penning the most peculiar things to earn a crust and fend off the bailiffs. Essentially, 20 pages can be boiled down...
The ancient market town of Morpeth in Northumberland was the worst hit by the weekend's torrential downpours. A month's rain fell on the area in a single day, causing the river Wansbeck to burst its banks and engulf the town in two feet of filthy water.
Things are slowly returning to normal in Morpeth following the worst flooding the town has seen in a century. Around 1,000 properties were evacuated yesterday after the River Wansbeck burst its banks, sending water through the streets of the mid-Northumberland town. At the heart of the rescue effort were helicopter crews from A Flight, 202 Squadron based at RAF Boulmer, Northumberland Fire and Rescue...

David Summers, 23, plagued Diane Edwards, 53, for weeks, before killing her at a house in Blyth, Northumberland, in October 2006. The jilted lover ignored a string of court conditions to keep him from Ms Edwards and removed an electronic tag....
