Looking up and taking time to slow down and look all around is always rewarding in Richmond upon Thames. I like the hint of "roof-top apartment " just entering the picture on the left. Why is it that most of us seem to find this an attractive idea: living high up, looking out across the town, in a cosy little place? The grouping of several styles and shapes begged to be photographed.

When the cloud cover is constant, day after day, with no dawn and no sunset, and no feature in the cloudscape - just a flat grey - you must experiment and make the best of it. Looking towards Richmond Bridge from Petersham Meadows we at least get a shine on the water as it tries to reflect the featureless sky, and the lens picks out the distant bridge and puts some texture into the water. It's late...

Richmond park has come up with a way to limit the increasing Traffic in Richmond Park : The way forward for Case 17165. A London Borough has launched a new scheme allowing local residents to discard their nannies and au pairs in an environmentally friendly way. Since November 1, Richmond upon Thames has been operating a pilot scheme in which overseas workers can be left out with bottles, cans and newspapers, allowing them to be used again by residents in other parts of the borough.
