Hobo at the Albert Hall – it sounds like something Ealing Studios might have filmed, with rail-ridin' hobo Seasick Steve getting into comical scrapes before somehow finagling his way on to that hallowed stage. As the final bars of his signature tune "Dog House Boogie" reach a euphoric climax, the camera irises in on Steve's face as he offers up a cheeky wink of victory and mutters his cheery motto:...

Well it's been something silly like 6 months almost and we're still not quite there but it's coming I can feel it. We hope to move out in a month or so to Ealing Broadway. Mon has a job You probably all know this but it's big and we like it. She's right in town big commute but it's worth it because it's a job where she'll learn a heck of a lot. It's in procurement analysis whatever that

Almost enough to turn me off bacon for ever. I said almost. Take a look at the fat conservative toad above. This particular toads name is Councillor Jason Stacey of Ealing and like his Dhimmi master, David Cameron , his specialty is sucking up to the colonisers of Our Country in groveling at the feet of Islam for their votes. A large number of graves were wrecked in Southall cemetery over the weekend...

Ealing PCT’s new campaign to ‘help’ smokers quit goes to the heart of a debate too-often ignored: the proper limits of state intervention in the name of public health.

So, it was the Freewheel at the weekend and I unfurled my bike for another go. It wasn’t the only time I’ve used my bike since the last one, but I suspect it was the second or maybe third. I jumped on the train at Ealing Broadway, bike under one arm (as I said on Twitter , I may be riding around the centre of town, but I’m not stupid enough to ride in when I’m barely competent enough to ride on an...

A revised scheme has been submitted by the developer St George and a consultation period starts today, ending on 13th October 21 days hence. I got a notice from the council through my door today and saw notices on the street in Ealing Broadway too. The application is due to be heard at a planning committee meeting to be held on 5th November. If you want to make any comments you can do so here online....

Normally I quite like "the Law west of Ealing Broadway". The Magistrate applies the Law as it should be applied - fairly and with discretion. On occasions , however he gets a little onanistic about "the Law" - a habit of all who serve that great priesthood in the theocracy in which we live. That is the legal profession and assorted hangers on, who mistake "the Law" for Justice. Because something is...

Apparently Ealing Southall MP Virendra Sharma jointly signed the letter which fellow MP Keith Vaz wrote to a judge in June urging the High Court to delay proceedings involving solicitor Shahrokh Mireskandari. Mireskandair was challenging a court order to pay £400,000 in costs to the liquidator of an airline. Vaz and Sharma asked for [...]

The nanny state has received absurd proportions. Ealing PCT unleashed last week a squad of do-gooders onto the streets to stop and ask smokers if they want to blow into a breathalyser device and see how much carbon monoxide they exhale. This, apparently, will encourage the last few recalcitrants to give up the dreaded weed. ...

The last few weeks I've been pre-occupied with preparing several presentations. On Saturday I returned to the church of my baptism, Ealing Abbey , to give some talks on 'Mary in the Mystery of Christ and His Church' for the excellent Maryvale Certificate in Catechesis. This is a part-time distance-learning course, spread over two years and involving a number of written assignments and six study days....
