The hosts defended in such determined fashion that Llanelli had to wait until the last 10 minutes before sealing their victory. Their long overdue second goal came from prolific striker Rhys Griffiths, who fired home in the 81st minute after some skilful work by Jordan Follows. Victory came in the 88th minute when defender Wyn Thomas converted a cross from Andrew Mumford.
