The weekend after Togo we agreed wersquod had enough excitement for one fortnight and chose to stay in Accra. What with 11 hour trips to Takoradi and hiding from Togolese taxi drivers I still hadnrsquot had my muchhopedfor day on the beach so I decided to play things safe and spend Saturday sitting by the pool at Accrarsquos Novotel. Today I left Lome the capital of Togo and came north to Kpalime. I struggled to find things in Lome worthwhile staying for. I went to a great sounding restaurant which was quite dissapointing I wondered arround everywhere looking for interesting architecture and I found very little.I ended up staying two nights just outside of Lome in this very eccentric plce called Chez Allice in Aveposo

France Telecom SA, Europe's third- largest telephone company, said it's in talks to buy a phone license in Togo in western Africa. The company didn't disclose financial details. The license would give France Telecom the right to operate in the country under its Orange brand.
