TV ARCHAEOLOGIST Julian Richards is one of the attractions at this year’s annual Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre open day. Visitors will have the opportunity to see behind the scenes at the centre in Cocklebury Road, Chippenham on September 27 as well as talk with county archaeologists and handle artefacts going back 250,000 years. The final round of the British Masters championship was held at the weekend at the famous Foxhills circuit near Swindon, Wiltshire. Coming into the final round holding an 80 plus point advantage over second place Rickie Roderick, Suzuki Youth Relentless team rider James Dunn was looking to clinch the race win and the title in the small wheel 85cc class.

Many bloggers have commented on Swindon Council's decision to spend taypayers' money wisely by proposing not to plough £400K into the Wiltshire Safety Camera Partnership, and instead spend it on real road safety measures.
