Readers have seemed quite interested in the recent photos which come from Life Magazine and which give some interesting glimpses into pre-Conciliar and Conciliar liturgical life in the Vatican (see here ). As part of that same batch of photos (brought forward to the NLM by Samuel J. Howard) I thought there might be some further interest in some images which surround the death of Pope Pius XII.
