Whilst a lot of the coverage might be concentrated on the issue of women bishops , Will Crawley points out that there may be civil war among the Anglican clergy. My own view of the Un-Enlightenment , the influence of Emperor Constantine , and today’s battles, is already available online.

If he doesn’t know already, Gordon Brown will know it now. A PM in political trouble at home is a PM under attack everywhere. Like John Major and Back to Basics, nemesis has caught up with him in the shape of the hacks on his plane to the G8 in Japan. As we know, Brown is a Press-button B Scrooge. He reminds me of that old rogue in “Kidnapped” who fed his ravenous nephew Davy Balfour on “Purrige and...

This is an attempt to prevent people ignoring parking fines and apparently they will have received multiple written warnings before clamping occurs. Now it might be inappropriate for me to tell everyone this...

Pandora's Box was a box which contained all the bad things in the world and when opened released them. Now the term is often used for a dangerous and unpredictable set of things that can happen. I believe Chaos theory is a bit similar with the idea that a butterfly flapping its wings can cause a hurricane. Essentially this is about the unpredictability of complex systems. My final analogy is from Luke...

Miller wants Gaelic-medium schools to drop A-levels. Writing in the Andersonstown News (page 10, hope that link works with their dodgy site), Marty Miller has suggested Gaelic-language schools drop A-levels to strike a blow for a united Ireland. "The schools in [Northern Ireland] should follow the same curriculum as their counterparts in the Irish medium sector in the [Republic]. That means pupils...
