Maxim first-quarter profit falls to 21 cents a share

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Maxim Integrated Products Inc. said late Wednesday that its fiscal first-quarter profit fell to $67.6 million, or 21 cents a share, from $83.6 million, or 25 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue fell to $501.2 million from $524.1 million last year. Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research estimated a quarterly profit of 26 cents a share on revenue...
