Vaughan regional councillor Joyce Frustaglio says she was sick at home when Mayor Linda Jackson's assistant came by with cheques that needed signing, which had been piling up because Jackson was out of town.

Watching closely will be Vaughan mayor Linda Jackson, who faces prosecution from a similar audit – which she is challenging in court. That audit by the same auditor, Ken Froese, found Jackson exceeded her spending limits by about 10 per cent. Also underway are audits of filings of ex-mayor Michael Di Biase and Councillor Bernie DiVona.
