That's what Matt is reporting right now. I am told the decision was made on Thursday afternoon….SEC wanted Cats in Nashville, Barnhart/Brooks vetoed and chose Memphis. Not official, but good source says it is done. I would have preferred the Music City Bowl myself because the Liberty Bowl is a Friday night, meaning I wouldn't be able to watch unless I kept the TV on ESPN overnight...

A Chick-fil-A Bowl rep was watching, but he was eyeing Vanderbilt as the possible Southeastern Conference team in the Atlanta bowl. Like the ACC, that league's bowl situation was in flux after losses by LSU, South Carolina, Kentucky and Vanderbilt in the final weekend. The Liberty Bowl is another place the Commodores could land.
