Can you imagine Left 4 Dead without co-op? At this point, it would be like Street Fighter without a versus mode, or Keith Vaz without the the complete and total ignorance. Strangely enough, however, this co-op game began life without co-op even being a factor. "Originally we had what would be considered Versus mode now: that was the main game. There was no separate Co-op," explains Valve's Chet Faliszek....

The House of Commons had a lengthy and entertaining debate on video game issues yesterday. Also under discussion was the issue of Internet safety for children. Both topics, of course, were the focus of the well-known Byron Review . MPs, including Labour Party game critic Keith Vaz argued about game ratings, game violence and whether the government does enough to support the British game biz. The session...

Do happy hours lead to unhappy communities? That's the opinion of Keith Vaz, the chair of the home affairs select committee, whose members want the government to ban cut-price boozing in bars and stop supermarkets selling alcohol at a loss. The suggestion, designed to end violence fuelled by binge drinking, follows a report by the committee which describes alcohol-related disorder as a "heavy burden"...

Talking as we were of politicians without a clue what they're going on about , here's Keith Vaz, moral crusader against video games on his latest high horse: AN MP wants a sick computer game — where players carry out suicide bombings — hauled off the internet. Labour’s Keith Vaz, who chairs the Home Affairs Select Committee, said Kaboom: The Suicide Bombing Game “devalues human life” and contains an...

We're used to seeing all manner of deeply offensive things on the Internet, but apparently some Brits aren't. British Member of Parliament Keith Vaz heard about " Kaboom: The Suicide Bombing Game, " which has been around since early 2002, and wants it removed from the Internet . It's not much as far as a game goes: You play a Arab-looking man, and wait for a good number of passers-by. Then you click...

A British video game industry official recently credited Labour MP Keith Vaz's public criticism of Manhunt with helping to drive sales of Rockstar's bloody game . Vaz is seemingly at it again. The Daily Mail reports that Vaz has expressed outrage over Kaboom: The Suicide Bombing Game . As GamePolitics reported recently , the amateur game is freely available online, although not from commercial video...

Keith Vaz, the UK's premier game hating MP, has been kicking up a stink once more about interactive entertainment. Amusingly, I had never heard about Kaboom: The Suicide Bombing Game before Vaz decided to make a public spectacle of it, but thanks to him, yet another game is getting free promotion that it doesn't deserve. Just in case you were wondering, Kaboom is a very rubbish game in which you make...

UNB, Dhaka Influential British MP and former Minister Keith Vaz, who is leading a parliamentary delegation, has said the forthcoming general elections are probably the most important in Bangladesh's history to "break the cycle of despair" and make "a new beginning." "The rest of the world particularly British look for a peaceful election in which Bangladesh can elect a new government. So, it is important...

Keith Vaz is a nasty little tick in the flea circus of British politics. A conniving, corrupt and ignorant individual, he vilifies videogames at every opportunity and admits he doesn't even know what a PSP is when he does it. In addition, he has claimed that portable Sony games let you rape people. His most famous contribution to the world of gaming, however, is his moral crusade against Manhunt following...

An executive with U.K. game publisher association ELSPA has credited violent game critic Keith Vaz (left) with helping to make the original Manhunt successful. As reported by VideoGamer.com , ELSPA's Michael Rawlinson said: Keith Vaz has done more to sell Rockstar's games than Rockstar has. The original Manhunt was released, did diddly squat and fell right off the radar until the Stefan Pakeerah incident...
