Everyone is looking for a steal these days. Mets speedster José Reyes yesterday was among a flock of frugal shoppers turning to warehouse club stores like Costco, BJ's and Sam's Club as the cost of groceries goes through the roof. "Everything...

Compared to a lot of the other reactionary talk surrounding the team immediately after the season, I feel like the conservative Mets fan. Firstly, as others have pointed out, Jose Reyes, David Wright, and Carlos Beltran should stay for obvious reasons. They are a part of the illustrious Mets “core” and should go nowhere. Why? Because [...]

Some people are calling for an overhaul of the roster after a second straight season ending disappointment, but core players like David Wright and Jose Reyes are going nowhere.

I kind of hard not to laugh at Mike Francessa. He always has the answers for the Mets. As everyone knows, he wants the Mets to break up the core of this team. He wants the Mets to trade either Jose Reyes who led the NL in hits, David Wright who just career highs in RBI's and HR's. He spoke to Jon Heyman (SI.com) about this and other Mets topics on this is what he had to say: 1) He does believe that...

I am shocked that people actually believe the Mets may entertain trading Jose Reyes or David Wright, two of the best young players in baseball, who are under contract at an affordable rate for the next few seasons. That is hilarious. Of course, Omar Minaya didn’t help out reality when he suggested all options are on [...]

1st - warlords 2nd - Adriano Rosario's 3rd - The Fighting Amish Championship Game: Adriano Rosario's 6, warlords 4 In defiance of baseball law, good hitting, in the shape of warlords, beat Adriano's good pitching, though it was far from one-sided. The MVP of the final was war's Jose Reyes: he scored 12 runs and stole six bases, giving both categories to his team, by three and two respectively. Two...

…from what i can gather, David Wright and Jose Reyes appeared to be the most depressed and in-shock players following yesterday’s loss to the Marlins… …i heard reyes just stood at his locker, with his back to reporters, not moving much for quite a while, while people waited to speak with…wright looked like some one had [...]

Marlins 4 Mets 2 Too little, too late. Oliver Perez pitched well, but was no Johan Santana. Carlos Beltran was clutch, but was no Ryan Howard. David Wright, Carlos Delgado, Ryan Church, and Jose Reyes combined for two hits in 16 at-bats. Those two and the two by Beltran represented the complete output of the Mets offense [...]

Well, the Mets' season is over. They lost to the Fish 4-2 today while Milwaukee beat the Cubs 3-1. Time for the front office to start putting together a plan for one hell of a lot better bullpen. Congratulations to Jose Reyes, David Wright, and Carlos Delgado for they're great offensive seasons. (Although it would have helped more if Reyes and Delgado had started having that good year in April instead...
