I'd like to express my condolences to the family of Corporal Jason Barnes, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers who sadly was killed in Helmand, Afghanistan earlier this week. As the brother of another serving REME soldier out there I am thinking of you at this time.

Afghanistan casualty named as Jason Barnes

A British soldier killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday was today named as Corporal Jason Barnes, 25, from Exeter in Devon. He was serving with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, attached to 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment.
