South Africa were made to battle on the second morning at Centurion Park against some probing bowling from the Bangladesh seamers. Mahbubul Alam was especially impressive and removed Graeme Smith, while Jacques Kallis could easily have fallen as he struggled for form.

Jacques Kallis, the South African allrounder, has said the upcoming tour of Australia might be the best chance for South Africa to end their Australian jinx. South Africa haven't won any of their eight Test series against Australia since readmission, but Kallis believes they can buck the trend if things work out in their favour.

England's quest to hand Kevin Pietersen his first win as England captain moved several steps closer on the fourth day at The Oval. Steve Harmison bowled a terrific, fiery spell of eight overs, removing South Africa's two key batsmen, Hashim Amla and Jacques Kallis, and was well supported by James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Andrew Flintoff who removed Ashwell Prince 15 minutes before lunch.

Despite spirited performances in their three previous tours, South Africa have yet to win a Test series in England since their readmission to the international sporting arena in the early 1990s. Jacques Kallis was part of the team that lost 2-1 in 1998 and drew 2-2 in 2003, and he's very keen to redress that.
