Of course Connie is well used to adversity. Just four months into her role in The Sound of Music she faced criticism after bursting a blood vessel in her throat and having to take a break from the show. "Everyone gets ill at some point but I pressured myself to go on stage when I shouldn't," she admits. "A blood vessel popped in my throat and haemorrhaged.
