Epic Games and Microsoft announced Friday that Xbox 360 shooter Gears of War 2 has passed certification and gone gold. The game launches on November 7. Design director Cliff Bleszinski called it "Epic’s best work yet." The original Gears of War launched on Xbox 360 in November 2006. To date, the series has sold around 5 million copies worldwide.
