His paper contrasted the teaching of McLaren and Machen in six important areas. Living like Jesus is more important than believing in him. McLaren suggests that what people believe...

Michael Wittmer has posted his ETS paper on Brian McLaren here . He sees McLaren as saying similar things as the liberals of the 1920s. Wittmer's critique is not a knee-jerk response, it is well argued and considerate. Wittmer's blog, Don't stop believing , is well worth adding to google reader.

We are trying the Delta Roasted Turkey from Southern Living this year. I'm placing my trust in the "Million Dollar Gravy." I remember hearing Brian McLaren speak about the situation in Darfur several summers ago on the National Mall about the whole "God Bless America" sentiment. His basic point was that we (in America) are more than blessed especially compared to the rest of the world...

Some of the folks who are part of the Emergent "movement" recently published their own version of the Bible. I haven't seen it personally, but this review points out some serious problems with it: Emergent church leaders such a Brian McLaren and Chris Seay in conjunction with a pack of poets, songwriters and storytellers have just released a new “translation” of the Bible that they claim...
