Ecclestone says Formula One will use a medals system next year to decide the title. "When asked if it was fair that someone who wins six races but doesn't finish any others beats someone who had finished every race in second place, Ecclestone replied: "He'll have to try harder next year."" Eddie Jordan remains unconvinced .

Well i am back with a bang, just finished with my written exam, only 2 pracs left. Anyway, Bernie Ecclestone has come up with the weirdest F1 idea i have heard in a long time. He has suggested Olympics inspired medals instead of the usual championship points structure. Infact he has insisted that this would be in place by 2009 Melbourne grand prix. It appears that Bernie Ecclestone's radical plan to replace the current points system with a medal system will not be introduced in 2009 after all. The governing body is far from enthusiastic on the proposed change. The FIA is also not convinced that the F1 teams are supporting idea of Ecclestone as the F1 supremo claimed yesterday.
