http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHzyF8wf5Wc It appears a smoke break during the Bears-Lions game got a little out of hand and one Roy Williams fan decided he wanted to tangle. Wrong move, buddy. The videographer report: As the detroit lions are getting their butts handed to them by the chicago bears a drunken fan gets tackled and arrested by detroits finest The Bears won [...]
Q: Will the Bears rush the ball well enough to protect the passing game? A: QB Kyle Orton threw for 334 yards and two TDs so apparently the 36 yards each Matt Forte and Kevin Jones rushed for was enough. For whatever it is worth, Orton has played well enough that he is a viable option in weeks that fantasy teams' two QBs are unavailable. This was his third consecutive week with at least two TD passes....
The reviews are in. The bloggers and MSM have spoken. The verdict? Everyone is DISGUSTED by the Detroit Lions. At Out of Bounds , my compatriot in "The Knee Jerks," Eno, when he's not worrying about my health, is trying to see the lighter side of the Lions' ineptitude. So why is everyone screaming and carrying on and getting all mad and stuff? The Lions are high schoolers playing in the National Football...
I'll make my final thoughts quick, and to the point. By the way, I'm doing much better now. Live blog links: 1st quarter: No hope, no hope at all 2nd quarter: Abandon hope all ye who enter here 3rd quarter: Fire Marinelli! 4th quarter: Seriously. Fire Marinelli Final thoughts - part uno: I recommend a scorched earth policy 1. Today's loss to the Chicago Bears was a complete disaster. The Lions were...
I try to give myself a few hours before I post my final thoughts, as the Lions so thoroughly piss me off, my only thoughts would be FIRE (name of coach here) for paragraphs at a time. Today, it's happened. I've snapped. 3 hours after another Lions loss, one of the most lopsided and pitiful in memory, I'M STILL PISSED! PISSED BEYOND BELIEF! So.. FIRE MARINELLI! FIRE MARINELLLI! FIRE MARINELLI! FIRE...

I tuned in the Lions radio call for a second. Dan Miller: "Well, there's not much you can say..." No shit, Dapper Dan. Nothing you can say over the airwaves that wouldn't have the FCC on your ass in a heartbeat, anyway. FOX quoting Marinelli: "This is not the team I expected to see after the bye." Uh, what team have you been watching over the past month, Rod? I totally expected to see THIS team today!...
The Good - Umm.....Matt Forte? - Devin Hester the receiver, definitely not Devin Hester the returner. - No mention of Momma McNabb and John Madden, so all positives there. The Bad - Ron Turner's play calling on the "Carolina 3rd and 4th." Confusing at its best and insanity at worst. The Ugly - Yes, we're up 17-0, but we should be up more. Poll Who's the MVP of the half? Kyle Orton (16 for 20, 217...
We start the 2nd quarter with Orton killing the Lions with essentially paper cuts, getting 6 on a short pass. He's nickel and diming the Bears down the field. But a Jones run loses 4, leaving 3rd and 8. Orton misfires on 3rd, the Lions gets a stop. Cool. Another small vixctory. But the Lions are losing the battle of field position, as they will start at their 10 after the punt. It's Rudi left on 1st...

Another wild week in the NFL. With how the early games were going I thought my picks had no chance to even finish at 500 but with some late game surprises, and a strong showing the night games I finished over 500 again. The overall record was 8-6, here are my picks from [...]
