Club makes no offers on first day of free agency; catcher Tatum claimed off waivers On Friday, the first day that players were able to sign with new teams, the Orioles made no contract offers to any available free agents. The club did claim 26-year-old catcher Craig Tatum (above) off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds and placed him on their 40-man roster.
