Paul Hunter’s death in October 2006 was the saddest day of the decade for the snooker world. He arrived at the Irish Masters 18 months earlier complaining of stomach pains. Everyone assumed this was some passing bug and that we’d hear no more about it, but by the time of the China Open the following month he had already been told he had cancer. It was a rare form of the disease, at first...

It’s been a crazy couple of weeks for Aerosmith. First, according to Joe Perry, the members of the band find out via the Internet that frontman Steven Tyler is quitting. Then, Perry made public overtures of replacing the iconic singer, only to have Tyler show up unexpectedly at Perry’s gig, sing one song, declare himself [...]

In case you're just joining us, you should know that Aerosmith is a wreck. And if you ask the band, most of them will say that the thorn in all of their colostomy bags is Steven Tyler (aka Motherfucker, The Rainbow ). Joe Perry already said that Aerosmith plans to go on with the show without Steven Tyler. But last week, Steven crashed one of Joe's concert and declared that he wasn't going anywhere....

Many matches stand out, too many, in fact, to mention here. For that reason, I am limiting this review to finals only. Hand on heart, I would say the best final of the decade was between John Higgins and Ronnie...

I know I Tweeted it briefly a couple of days ago, but congratulations to Robert Lachowicz, Iain Bowie, James Neil and Joe Graham on being selected for the GB U20s national team. I never thought I'd see the day when the Phoenix sent four players - joint-most with the Scimitars - to the U20s, but I'm chuffed we have so yay. All are thoroughly deserving of the honour, and while its surprising to many...

Speculation about Tyler's departure might be premature. Perhaps. The singer joined Perry's band for "Walk This Way'' last week at a New York show and told the crowd that he wasn't quitting Aerosmith. Perry, however, says he and the other band members have yet to talk to Tyler about it. Other than a brief chat backstage, Tyler and Perry didn't talk at the New York show, the guitarist said.
