The England manager has risked being stranded by his own selectorial conservatism when the All Blacks come calling There is a school of thought that this is a good time for England to be facing the All Blacks. Nil expectation, soft track, greasy ball etc etc. "Let's be frank, we've got nothing to lose," acknowledged Graham Rowntree, the home side's ever-optimistic scrummaging coach. He is...

Too Old to Play Rugby for England (Free subscription) | 09/11/2009

Forwards don't break the gainline and in genaral the whole thing looks awfull. My player ratings are out of 10....

South Africa assistant coach Dick Muir admitted he had never seen such a poor performance from a Springbok front five as the world champions went down to a shock defeat to Leicester. Leicester clinched a 22-17 win before a record crowd at Welford Road on Friday night as the mighty Springboks suffered a dismal start to their northern hemisphere tour. The Premiership champions even overcame the handicap...

The England team to face Australia on Saturday is a bizarre mix of a positive, forward thinking backline behind a dull Leicester dominated pack. Shane Geraghty who has been in fantastic form for Northampton since his switch from London Irish is named along-side 2003 superstar Jonny Wilkinson - named for the first time in 18-months. Dan Hipkiss at outside-centre offers a powerful yet quick and thoughtful...
