Ireland 41-6 Fiji As an exercise in readying themselves for the world champions in Croke Park on Saturday this was a useful enough night out for Ireland, if you can say that anything fits that category on an evening like this. IF Eoin Reddan had any doubts about how his move to Leinster might go down in his home city, they were dispelled the night his new team crushed Munster at the RDS. Back in his Sandymount apartment after last month's game, there were about 20 dyed-in-the-wool Limerick people wearing blue jerseys. Although that coterie will be roaring Munster on until the next Leinster confrontation, and although it's...

The European Challenge Cup is all very well, but I miss partying at the top table Rome tomorrow, Bayonne just before Christmas and Paris at the end of January, when the weather is starting to warm towards spring. Sound good? Well … A lot of effort has gone into improving the European Challenge Cup, rejigging the format to make it a more difficult route into Europe's premier competition and...

Ireland and Wasps scrumhalf Eoin Reddan will join Leinster in the summer after agreeing a three-year deal with the province. The move brings to an end Leinster’s long-running pursuit of the former Munster player that had already seen one attempt to bring him back to Ireland fail last year.
