Morgan Stoddart, the Llanelli Scarlets full back, has been called up to the Welsh Autumn internationals squad following the withdrawal of fellow Scarlets back 3 member Mark Jones due to a knee injury. Morgan Stoddart has very little game time following injury, has no form and, as far as I can see, the only reason for calling him up is he has played for Wales before (last game in 2008 vs Canada). A...

No France Move for James Hook James Hook has spoken to the Ospreys website and has assured fans that the rumoured move to France is based on nothing, and that, far from being unhappy with playing 12 he is happy to do his bit for the team. Good news for Ospreys fans who were worried that next season might see the team without two of their most creative players – with Gavin Hensons future also...

The Cardiff Blues victory over the Harlequins in the Heineken cup came at a cost with a number of players picking up injuries. John Yapp tore his bicep and is out for at least four months and will have an operation this week. Bradley Davies suffered a soft tissue neck injury and will be out for at least two weeks. Gareth Thomas’ injury is not as bad as first thought but he will not be training...

Stade toulousain started their European campaign with a convincing 36-17 win against the Sale Sharks. The French side's three-quarter Vincent Clerc set a new Cup record of 30 tries, beating Welshman's Dafydd James previous mark.

The only game that I caught in the Magners League this weekend was the Cardiff Blues vs Edinburgh game To be honest I almost wish I hadn't! Gareth Cooper and Sam Norton-Knight were both especially awful but few can claim to have any sort of form. But not every player had a bad game, not everything is negative. Read on to see why I think there are positives for Cardiff Blues Related posts: Cardiff Blues...

NEW Blue Dafydd James accepts people may think he’s “off his head,” but he’s not given up on finally completing his half century for Wales.

Darren Morris, formerly of Swansea, Leicester, Wales and Worcester, has joined up with the Cardiff Blues on a 6 month contract. A useful signing for the Blues who need the propping cover - surprised to see that the Ospreys didn't get him though, would have thought they needed him with Adam's injury. Will be very interesting to see how Darren Morris does at the Leckwith this season Related posts: So...

Gareth Delve Date of Birth – 30/12/82 Height – 6ft3 Weight – 18st 2lbs Caps – 8 Club – Gloucester Gareth Delve has always been extremely unlucky with injuries ever since entering into professional rugby. Without his constant injuries Gareth Delve would have had dramatically more caps than his current 8. Many consider him to be at least on a par with the Welsh captain Ryan...

Dafydd James is a Cardiff Blues, Welsh rugby and British Lions player. A Welsh rugby legend he is also the top scorer in the heineken cup. Of course such a legend of Welsh rugby deserves his own profile on the Welsh rugby blog!
