It is a 'total no-brainer' to retain the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on the F1 calendar in 2010, argues Red Bull Racing star Mark Webber - as Bernie Ecclestone's stipulated deadline fast approaches...

The matter was discussed at a major board meeting in Paris on Wednesday. "You will have to be patient," Renault's chief...
Reflecting back on the last 12 months in the world of Formula 1 , two apparently contradictory aphorisms spring to mind. Firstly, that change is usually for the better, and secondly, that you can have too much of a good thing. Change has certainly been the prevalent theme in F1 over the past year. On the plus side, we have had the Brawn team’s fairy-tale march to the constructors’ title...

Filed under: Motorsports , Renault Things have never been this bad for the Renault F1 team. Their performance is light-years behind where it used to be, their star driver is bolting once again, their top management has been thrown out of the sport in disgrace, and its biggest sponsors are leaving en masse. In a special edition of the podcast, Simon Mayo is joined by the 5 live F1 team, Ross Brawn of Brawn GP and Christian Horner of Red Bull, to discuss the season, from Jenson Button and Brawn's remarkable success to the controversies that have dogged the sport.
I read that Toyota have announced that they are pulling out of Formula 1 and Renault are to hold an emergency board meeting to consider their future participation in the sport. BMW announced their withdrawal earlier in the year, but completed the 2009 season. Honda of course pulled out last year. So it looks like all of the manufacturer teams, with the notable exception of Ferrari, may well have left...
According to former F1 driver Ralph Schumacher, the Red Bull Racing squad should have implemented team orders this season, as it could have led to Sebastien Vettel winning the drivers championship. Schumacher believes that Vettel was a stronger driver than teammate Mark Webber, therefore the latter should've supported the young German in his battle for the championship against Jenson Button.
I've been nursing a sick little girl today, who woke up with a raging temperature in the night and a sore throat and a cough. Apparently 7 children in the other Primary 6 class are off with the same sort of thing, including the one she spent most of the weekend with. She eventually managed to come downstairs this morning and was ensconced on the sofa in her My Little Pony sleeping bag drinking hot...
Red Bull Racing advisor and BBC-commentator, David Coulthard, has hinted that he wants to make a comeback to racing. The 38-year-old retired from Formula One at the end of 2008 and, due to the testing restrictions, has only driven a F1 car during several street demonstrations this year.
And so it is- the last race of the F1 calendar, has come, and gone. We come to the last moto gp race of the season, and I am hoping for a Casey Stoner win. It has been a tremendous season for Alpinestars and we now have a F1 world championship to add to the trophy cupboard. Who knows what could’ve happened if Casey Stoner hadn’t sat out those 3 races, but hey ho, this is the gruelling world...
The truly wealthy never seem to care about tickets. They park where they want and drive how they want, because the penalties never mean much more than pocket change to them. Well they might want to give that a second thought as one extremely wealthy motorist has received an unpredecentedly large speeding ticket in Mumbai. The fine was imposed on one David Coulthard, one of the most successful Formula...
