It's become something of an annual tradition here at Motorsports Ramblings for me to produce an annual top 10 list of the best drivers in F1 each year, in the same vein as that which appears in Autocourse. As usual, my own list, if rather less definitive, is at least available a month or so ahead of theirs. Argue with my selections if you will... 10. Greetings and salutations, sporting comrades. As I write this, I have a cold sausage number on brown bread with a condiment combo of mustard and mayonnaise alongside me. It's a strange one, but it's definitely a winner. Anyway, rolling on from last week, thanks very much for all your suggestions for our 20 nicest people in sport. This is by no means the definitive list and I am sure there are loads...

As 2009 drew to a close, the championship was still up for grabs with Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel and Rubens Barrichello all with a chance to over throw Jenson Button’s season-long lead. In the final five races we had more overtaking than your could shake a stick at, as well as a night race and [...]

Okay, since the F1 season has finished I will make a quick review of my impressions of each of the drivers. And this is below: Jenson Button (Brawn-Mercedes) 95 pts: Started like a racehorse ended up like a limping donkey. He did a great job at the first stage of the season which helped him to secure the championship, even one race before the end of the season. The second part of the season was really...

Mark J Daniels - The Tragic Column (Free subscription) | 04/11/2009
When it comes to summing up the 2009 Formula One season, I believe the subject line covers it well: Formula One 2009: Jenson Button, Brawn GP. Enough said. Barely a year ago, Honda announced that they were to pull out of Formula One with immediate effect, leaving the Brackley-based team somewhere up that creek, almost paddleless. Honda agreed to keep the team running whilst it sought a buyer, but if...

The second half of the season was Button’s iffy period, leaving four different drivers – Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton, Rubens Barrichello and Kimi Raikkonen to all score victories. We saw Force India have a turn of form, Kimi get a Ferrari in front and Barrichello back on the top step of the podium. It can [...]
