Honda Racing F1's test and reserve driver, Alexander Wurz, will be absent from the Istanbul paddock this weekend. Instead of standing by for Honda, he'll be donning a Peugeot Sport race suit and driving the fearsome 908 HDi FAP at the 1,000km de Spa-Francorchamps.

Honda F1's test driver Alexander Wurz will travel to Spa for this weekend's 1000km of Spa in the Le Mans Series. Wurz will make his Le Mans Series debut with Peugeot, which tops the provisional manufacturers' standings. Wurz will be joined by Jacques Villeneuve at Peugeot.

Felipe Massa was on fire around the Catalunya circuit today in the first test day since the season began. The Brazilian was driving the Ferrari with its brand new nosecone and slick tyres. Ferrari driver Felipe Massa completed an amazing fastest lap at Circuit de Catalunya on Monday. The Brazilian completed his fastest lap with slicks in 1,18,339, almost three seconds ahead of Honda test driver Alexander Wurz and the rest of the field. Ferrari furthermore introduced a new radical front wing in Spain.

Ferrari's Felipe Massa set the Monday pace at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya at the start of a four-day test session. Second to Massa in the timesheets was the Honda of Alexander Wurz, followed by McLaren's Pedro de la Rosa. Massa's best time - over two seconds quicker than Wurz's - was set on slick tyres, which Bridgestone are evaluating this week ahead of their possible return next season...
