Today the West Ham first team reported back for pre-season training. It is two weeks until the first pre-season friendly and this was the first day back since the squad broke up at the end of the season on 11th May. So far West Ham have reported no injuries.

Anton Ferdinand has been continually linked with a move away from West Ham this summer. Ferdinand himself has told Sky Sports that he is unaware of any interest from other club. The Guardian claim that West Ham's Robert Green is being targeted by Aston Villa following Scott Carson's return to Liverpool at the end of last season. The Guardian claim that Green is "likely to command a fee in the region of £6m". Somehow I think it would take a lot more than that to prise Green away from West Ham.

Kumb are the first to break the news that West Ham have signed Hólmar Örn Eyjólfsson. Kumb noticed today that Eyjólfsson's (now previous) club, Handknattleiksfélag Kópavogs had announced the sale of Hólmar to West Ham on their website. Kumb say that Eyjólfsson was set to fly in to London on Tuesday before being unveiled by West Ham later this week. Hólmar spent a week on trial at West Ham in January....
