Unlike the current Sri Lanka-India series in which the experiment is actually on trial, there is no formal right in place here for a batsman to appeal against an umpire's decision. But Neil McKenzie's refusal to walk on 29 for Andrew Strauss's claimed catch at first slip proved just as effective.
