... Pence and 1B Lance Berkman. Every other position is open. Some are less open than others. SS Tommy Manzella and 2B Kaz Matsui probably will be in the Opening Day lineup. Manzella is important because the Astros believe he'd dramatically upgrade the defense. They don't expect him to hit much, but if he hits .100 during spring training, they'll have to look at other options....
