I don't believe either player will end up with the Mets because they are injury risks but I still think they would solid additions to the club. Rich Harden and Reed Johnson don't appear in the Cubs plan for next year mainly due to the injuries they sustained during the 2009 season. Each of those players were arbitration eligible so they're irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. It's mostly out of Hendry's control as to what these guys are going to make so there's no reason to include them. They weren't free agents anyway. 3/25/08...

I’m all for Granderson, but the farm system seems to actually have some depth these days. Let’s leave Castro out of this, shall we? It’s not like they’re trying to trade for, say, Albert Pujols.
