I took this photo near West 63rd Street and South Knox Avenue in Chicago's Westlawn neighborhood, way back in September of 1987. A southbound Norfolk Southern Railroad transfer freight train, slowly pulls it's heavy load over the Belt Railway of Chicago line to nearby Clearing Yard in southwest suburban Bedford Park Illinois.

I took this photo one lovely Autum morning back in October of 2006. A westbound Metra commuter local, is viewed arriving at the former Milwaukee Road commuter train station at Western Avenue. The train was slowing for the stop with light break squeeking upon arrival.
