I took this photo around sunset one evening in November of 2006. It is the evening rush hour commuting period in the city of Chicago Illinois, as a speeding westbound Metra / Union Pacific west line train enroute to Elburn Illinois, passes underneath the Belt Railway of Chicago flyover junction at West Kinzie Street and North Kenton Avenue on Chicago's westside.

I took this photo toward the end of the day on a May 1990 fantrip charter over the former Illinois Bentral electrified commuter rail lines out of Chicago Illinois. I don't recall what commuter station location this was, but We had several photo opportunities this day.

I took this photo after work one evening, in early November of 2007. A former Grand Trunk Western Railroad locomotive now owned in full by the Canadian National Railroad, is viewed at work spotting freight cars at the former Illinois Central Railroad's Crawford Yard east of the Chicago city limits border, at west suburban Cicero Illinois.

I photographed this unique silent digital video during a moning snowstorm back in December of 2007. Seen here on the adjacent Union Pacific ex Chicago & Northwestern Railroad line, a westbound Metra commuter train slowly passes by the western Avenue station. This train appears to be headed to the California Avenue coach yard.

I was experimenting with taking night time time exposures with My 35 MM camera with a buddy of mine. With outside temperatures in the single digits, it was not a very pleasant experience. But the pictures We took turned out great that...

I took this photo on a cold and windy winter morning in January of 2007. An eastbound Chicago Transit Authority orange line train has just departed from the nearby station at South Pulaski Road, and is now approaching the CTA rapid transit bridge that spans South Lawndale Avenue.
