After Hughes fell for 198, the lower-order men Beau Casson and Nathan Hauritz gave the Redbacks further headaches with half-centuries that pushed the Blues to 576 with a first-innings lead of 263.

Beau Casson and Stuart Clark made vital breakthroughs on the final day in Barbados after Dwayne Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul spent most of the morning building up hopes of a record chase. The pair compiled a 122-run stand that gave Ricky Ponting some serious concerns but both men fell shortly before lunch to put the match firmly back in Australia's grip.
