Phil Jackson wishes he knew : “I can’t tell with him,” Jackson said. “He doesn’t have a lot of emotional response about that. I kind of talk to him occasionally but let him kind of figure out how to do things on his own. He’s still a learner.”

Before the season kicked off, most "pundits" labeled Andrew Bynum's return to action as the potential difference between the Lakers hoisting an O'Brien and retaining Bridesmaid status (or lower). With two months and change now in the books, Socks' presence has definitely been a positive, but perhaps not to the dominant degree that everyone had hoped. Certainly not enough to make either...

by Craig Kwasniewski Instead of a typical 316 report on the Lakers 100-86 win over Portland I'd like to break down the first real match-up (Oden injured his knee and barely played back on opening night) between Greg Oden and Andrew Bynum. In all reality we are at least 2 years before both players are relevant focal points so I'm really focusing on the little things like footwork and post...

Let's skip those players who have missed significant time due to injury, like Josh Smith, Deron Williams (PG, UTA) and Carlos Boozer (PF/C, UTA). The player I believe will turn it around in a huge way in 2009 is Andrew Bynum. Despite having Kobe Bryant (SG, LAL) and Pau Gasol (PF/C, LAL) as teammates, Bynum is actually getting more shot attempts this season than he did last season....

Remember, 0.100 mark is average, so each of these players are twice as good as an average player. And this quartet would be a quintet if Lamar Odom was producing as he did last year. Even with...
